On the 13th September 2013 (Friday), the Mid-Autumn Festival combined service project was jointly organized by the Leo Club of SMK Kuching High and the Leo Club of SMK Sungai Maong at the Salvation Army Children’s Home, Kuching.

Helping Out at a Charity Concert for International Leo Day

The Charity Concert ("与您有约" 慈善文娱表演) was organized by the Chen Clan Association (砂拉越古晋颖川妇女组) and the Chin Woo Clan Association (砂拉越精武妇女组) on the 8th December at Boulevard.

Lodge Open Badminton Championship Fundraising Sale

The purpose of this Fundraising Sale was to support the Lodge Open Badminton Championship by selling isotonic drinks to the athletes as well as raise funds for our Leo Club.

This exciting year, the Lions Club of Kuching Host and the Leo Club of SMK Kuching High was lead by Lion Titus Chuo to distribute the Christmas gifts sponsored by the Lions Club itself to the children. The Lions Club and the Leo Club also donated used items such as second-hand clothes, bags, and pre-packed stationery to the children from the nearby villages out of generosity.

Bringing Christmas Cheers to Children of Tebedu Parishes

The Christmas gathering was joyfully organized by the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Bandar Mutiara, Tebedu and it was enthusiastically hosted by charismatic rector Father Jerome Juleng. The children came from 22 villages in Tebedu and are of sub-parishes to the aforementioned church to take part in the Christmas celebrations. For the past few years, the Lions Club of Kuching Host had been part of this annual Christmas gathering organized for the children of the rural villages in Tebedu. This exciting year, the Lions Club of Kuching Host and the Leo Club of SMK Kuching High was lead by Lion Titus Chuo to distribute the Christmas gifts sponsored by the Lions Club itself to the children. The Lions Club and the Leo Club also donated used items such as second-hand clothes, bags, and pre-packed stationery to the children from the nearby villages out of generosity. Some of the activities that commenced were the singing of Christmas songs and dancing with the children to bring festive joy and entertainment to all who were present. It was a small but meaningful and fun activity for the children as well as the Lions and Leos if not for the warm and commendable hospitality of the Catholic Church residents and the people of Tebedu.




























Lodge Open Badminton Championship Fundraising Sale

Venue: Lodge National School 
On the 8th to 10th of November, our Leo Club had opened a booth selling drinks during the Lodge Open Badminton Championship at Lodge National School. The purpose of the Fundraising Sale was to support the Lodge Open Badminton Championship by selling isotonic drinks to the athletes as well as raise funds for our Leo Club. Overall, the sale was a successful one through teamwork among the Leos. Thank you to all the Leos who supported this event!









Helping Out at a Charity Concert for International Leo Day

The Charity Concert ("与您有约" 慈善文娱表演) was organized by the Chen Clan Association (砂拉越古晋颖川妇女组) and the Chin Woo Clan Association (砂拉越精武妇女组) on the 8th December at Boulevard. The Charity concert was organized to give an afternoon of cultural entertainment to those who are cherished and valued in our society. The charity concert was attended by many welfare organizations and government organizations in Kuching. The Leos of SMK Kuching High had been of service to this concert to ensure the charity concert was a success.

2nd Zone Meeting

The 2nd Zone meeting was held at the Sarawak Society for the Deaf on the 7th of October 2013 at 7 p.m. with the attendance of our president and vice president. In attendance were also 3 Leos from the Leo Club of SMK Sungai Maong and the Lions of Zone 2 Lions Clubs. Our Club’s membership report and upcoming and completed activities and projects were reported during the meeting. Zone Chairperson Lion Feliz Hu also shared with us the history and an introduction of the Sarawak Society of the Deaf (SSD). The meeting was adjourned at 8.45 p.m..

Visit To The SSPCA

On the 19th of October 2013, the Leos of SMK Kuching High visited the SSPCA to help clean the animals' cages and also help to feed the animals. The service activity was held from 8.30am to 11.00am. The Leos helped to wash the food containers, remove dirty newspapers from the animals cages and also put in food, water and fresh newspapers into the animal cages. Overall, the activity was a success.

Mid-Autumn Festival Joint Service Project with Leo Club of SMK Sungai Maong

On the 13th September 2013 (Friday), the Mid-Autumn Festival combined service project was jointly organized by the Leo Club of SMK Kuching High and the Leo Club of SMK Sungai Maong at the Salvation Army Children’s Home, Kuching. Although the Leos were tired but they had enjoyed themselves tremendously and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces made all the time and effort in planning this project all the more worthwhile. The Leos from both schools had cooperated and worked well with each other in making this project a success. This project was also considered as our Special Quarterly Activity Report (SPA) as it is most meaningful and we had a wonderful and memorable experience together with the children of the Salvation Army Children’s Home for the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.

General Meeting with Former Youth Exchange student

On the 11 July of 2013, Leos form SMK Kuching High, held the first BOD meeting. Our Leo advisor, Lion Wenderine Koo was present and with a special guest, former youth-exchange student Hikari from Japan. She shared her experiences of living with a host family in Malaysia and we also learnt about Japan's Leo Clubs.
